Collage -- the dictionary defines collage as "artistic composition of marterial and objects pasted over a surface, often with unifying lines and colors." Collage can be simple or as complicated as you like. I have selected a few of my favorite collage paintings for these instructional packets. Some collage material has been photocopied, plus I have added generic material. You may want to photocopy these materials before creating your unique collage -- thus having like materials to do another collage. These packets include collage materials, a photograph of the finished piece, a line drawing and Step-by-Step instructions. I hope these projects will get those creative juices flowing and take you and your art into another dimension.

This is a study in creating visiual texture! I photographed the original set up with the basket on a piece of glass! Look at those wonderful reflections!

This is one of my favorite collages. We were in Santa Fe a few years ago and they had an article in the local newspaper about Georgia. I had to do a collage to tell her story. Wouldn't this be great for a family member?

Visiting a farmers market in Alaska a few years ago, I saw this wonderful local vendor with his prayer beads on his wrist. Hand to tell a story.
